The Gas City Performing Arts Center joins the nation in observing National Music Week, May 3rd through May 10th, 2026. This year’s theme, “Music… is our constant companion,” encourages us to explore the far-reaching effects of music in our lives and to discover the impact it can bring to the world.
Sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs for over 100 years, National Music Week was conceived by Charles M. Tremaine in 1924 to focus attention on the importance of music, its influence in our daily lives, and to recognize music as a powerful way to express our emotions, deepen our worship, show our patriotism, and add a joyous atmosphere to happy occasions.

Country music fans can buy tickets on sale during National Music Week for great acts like Shenandoah. With over a dozen #1 records, Shenandoah is one of the greatest groups in the country music genre. July heats up with the 2001 CMA Vocal Group of the Year, Lonestar. Also, in July, we have one of our terrific tribute bands, Tennessee Whiskey – a celebration of Chris Stapleton’s songs. Our summer concert season ends with one of country music’s most talented innovators, Drake White with special guest Will Jones.

The Gas City PAC presents one of the most influential British reggae bands of all time, UB40, featuring the iconic voice of original lead singer Ali Campbell.
